De-stressing Therapies for the individual

Indian Head massage this technique originated in India where it is practiced as a part of family life. Clients do not have to remove any clothing. The treatment can be done anywhere there is a comfortable chair. The massage is based on a combination of stroking, kneading, friction, percussion and pressure point techniques.

Reiki Reiki is an ancient system of holistic healing used to relieve suffering and promote overall well-being and relaxation. The term Reiki also refers to the energy or life force transmitted from the Reiki practitioner to the recipient, most commonly achieved through the palms of the hands during contact with the recipient. No massage is involved and again this can be done with the recipient seated on a comfortable chair. 

EFT - Based on the ancient principles of acupuncture, EFT is a simple tapping procedure that gently realigns the body’s energy system, without the discomfort of needles. Unlike other energy healing methods EFT incorporates an emotional element to the healing process. It can address unresolved emotional issues which could be the cause of physical disease, psychological dysfunction, and personal performance limits.

Relaxation – Clients are taught how to relax– from breathing techniques to how to learn to relax in appropriate ways for their life and personality.

One to One Mentoring - This service is offered to individuals who need help with stress or personal skills development. One to two hour sessions can be provided to individuals where intensive coaching and assistance is required. The individual is assessed as to what areas need to be addressed; action plans, targets or goals will be set up to help the individual to move forward. Support and feedback is important so the individual can have an opportunity to discuss things, new skills or approaches.

Corperate clients

Stress Busting angels are experienced stress management practitioners and are able to offer consultation on stress management packages that will suit the need of individual organisations. Packages for companies can include training for managers and staff, individual support and help, destressing and chill out sessions.

Training can be developed to suit an individual organisation’s needs. Full consultation will be given before delivery of training.

Group numbers are kept to 12 participants in all workshops to ensure good interaction and individual attention.

Stress Management Training

One day course covering the following topics

  • What is Stress?
  • Physiological and psychological symptoms of stress
  • Recognising stress in self and others
  • Causes of stress in the workplace
  • Behaviour - how this can cause and effect stress levels in self and others
  • Effective versus irrational thinking
  • The Anxiety and Anger factor
  • Brief overview of Health and Safety risk assessment

Two day Stress Management course is available which explores the above topics in more depths and is aimed at people in management or those managing staff.

Assertive Skills Training

A one-day course which covers the following topics –

  • Communications
  • What is Assertiveness
  • Behaviour Types and Patterns
  • Dealing with Criticism and Compliments
  • Saying No
  • Assertive techniques and strategies


Listening skills

A one day course which covers the following topics

  • Barriers to good communications
  • What prevents good listening?
  • What is listening?
  • Building rapport
  • Empathy


Active listening

The course on listening skills can form the basis of a two-day course on counselling skills


Presentation skills

A one day course which covers the following topics -

  • What are presentation skills (group and individual)
  • The "nuts and bolts" of presentations Planning a presentation
  • Physical/Psychological aspects of presentation
  • Using power point and flip charts
  • Fielding Questions

The workshop is an interactive one where each participant will be encouraged to explore how they present themselves and ways they can improve skills and personal attributes to be more effective.

Training Skills

This is a two day course which covers the following topics-

  • Learning styles
  • The purpose of training
  • Communications
  • Group dynamics
  • Dealing with challenging behaviour
  • Course planning and presentation
  • Course structure and evaluation

Course participants will be expected to develop a mini presentation and
deliver it to the course participants at the end of the course.

Motivational Interviewing

One day training course looking, the stages of change, building motivation to change, strategies to deal with resistance and ambivalence.

Chill days - Pampering packages can be compiled including complimentary therapies, facials and make up. These sessions can be arranged as a corporate activity for a team who has done well.

Menopause course -

 Women as well as men can beaffected by bodily changes that happen in the mid life stage of their lives.These changes within the body can affect an individual physically, mentally andspiritually. Women often suffer in silence or put up with symptoms of themenopause. Self care and self knowledge can help to empower an individual topass through this metamorphosis smoothly.

The menopause is a naturalprocess and symptoms can be reduced and controlled with understanding, changesin life style, self acceptance and self help strategies.
